Opened in 2014, La Maison Du Marchand, so called because it was built by the wine merchant for the area in 1914, is a large house described by the locals as a Maison de Maitre or Masters House It is on the edge of the town surrounded by its large garden in which fruit trees and vegetables grow alongside flower beds; stretching for 2000 sq metres it has seating areas where you can relax with a glass of wine or a cup of tea!
The town with its restaurants and bar is within easy walking distance of the house, just walk down the hill and the first place you come to is the Cafe Tabac!
The Balcony Room has, as the name suggests, its own balcony overlooking the garden. It has an en-suite shower-room, a king size bed and tea and coffee making facilities. A cot and toddler bed are both available for 5 Euros each PN
The Grammonts Room has an en-suite shower-room, double bed and tea and coffee making facilities. A cot and toddler bed are both available for 5 Euros each PN
The Single Room has a very comfortable single bed, perfect for people traveling or working. It has it's own private luxury shower etc. There are also tea and coffee making facilities and a very comfortable seating area with small table ideal for computer use.
Downstairs there is a comfortable guest lounge/breakfast room where you can relax after a busy day exploring the Limousin. Parking is available on-site for guests
New for 2016 is a large outside seating area, ideal for afternoon tea or even breakfast if the weather hot!
