Location

Situated in the beautiful market town on Peyrat Le Chateau in South West France, just 45 minutes from Limoges, 5 minutes from Eymoutiers and 10 minutes from the stunning Lac Vassiviere, perfect for fishing walking and cycling! B&B is in a very rural area of the Limousin called the Plateau de Millevache, the jewel of the Haute Vienne! It is a region full stunning forests and vast lakes, some like Vassiviere have beaches, parks, and boat hire and on most lakes fishing is widely available. The area is criss-crossed by many walking and cycling routes which allow the visitor to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful region. Peyrat le Chateau is one of many historic market towns in the area, all of which hold regular street markets, you may even get lucky and find a Car Boot Sale. The capital of the area is the renowned city of Limoges, here the visitor can wander around ancient streets and visit the wonderful cathedral.

Getting to us

From the channel ports or the north of France travel to Limoges on the A20. Leave the A20 at Junction 35 onto the D979 to Eymoutiers. At Eymoutiers take the D940 to Peyrat Le Chateau. As you enter Peyrat go past the Spar shop and when you see an old petrol station take the turning on the right (opposite). At the top of the steep road take the second left, the house is 200 metres on the left hand side. Look for the curved windows! The nearby town of Eymoutiers can be reached by rail. From Paris to Limoges and branch line to Eymoutiers. Cars can be rented in Eymoutiers
